[Opinion] Ambiance could have a seperator like Elementary's. (But not changing the basic thin line for the side pane)

On applications like Marlin and Beatbox, Ambiance could benefit from having a thicker separator like in Elementary.

However, I wouldn't change the separator on the side pane, as the thin line looks very slick as it is.

There also appears to be a bug on the far right separator in Beatbox, as it's a dark, ugly grey. (Click the track information button to see it)

Indeed, the separators still need some work. We have to figure out a way to make some separators looks as nice as in elementary without making some apps like Totem look weird.

Agreed, that is one of the problems using the elementary theme at the minute. The separator looks odd in file dialogues too, when saving something from Firefox and such. Can they be added to only custom app styles somehow?

Fortunately, yes. We can theme only the elementary apps :)
