Bug Description

Hi,
I am use Lifeograoh both on my android phone and computer, Ubuntu 16.04. The database is automatically synced via an OwnCloud server.

On my android phone, Lifeograph has been updated to a newer version, however now I am getting the following error message:

Selected diary is in a newer format which is not compatible with this version of Lifeograph. Please consider upgrading your program.

I wouldn't mind upgrading my program, however it has been installed through the Ubuntu repositories, but a new version has not arrived there. I haven't found a manual for the installation of Lifeograph and am not as technical to be able to build it myself.

Can you give me advise what to do?

Thanks,
Arno

Actually it is quite easy. First make sure that development are installed by using the following command on a terminal:

sudo apt-get build-dep lifeograph

Then, download the latest source code. Extract it and follow the steps in README section "Configuring, Building & Installation".

Changed in lifeograph:
status: New → Invalid
status: Invalid → New
status: New → Invalid

I followed the instructions and this is what I got:
http://pastebin.com/6g0sMijf

tl;dr:

Makefile:107: recipe for target 'all' failed
make: *** [all] Error 2

Please advise, as this is above my head for sure.

Context:
Debian Jessie 64-bit. Successfully tested earlier version of Lifeo from Jessie packages repo, but hit version incompatibility with Android.

Thanks for pointing me there. I was able to go through cmake and make steps. make install, however, still produces error.

If called as user:

Makefile:66: recipe for target 'install' failed
make: *** [install] Error 1

If called as root:
touch: cannot touch ‘/root/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list’: No such file or directory
/usr/bin/xdg-mime: 781: /usr/bin/xdg-mime: cannot create /root/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list.new: Directory nonexistent
