Bug Description

After upgrading Ubuntu from 15.04 to 15.10 I can no longer start Lifeograph (1.2.1-1build1), just nothing happens. When I try to start Lifeograph from Terminal, I get this error message:

*** stack smashing detected ***: lifeograph terminated

Any hints how to get Lifeograph back to work?

Martin, I tried it on Ubuntu 15.10 live and it worked without any problem. Are you sure that your upgrade was successful?

Hi Ahmet, I cannot find any hint that the upgrade was not successful - except that lifeograph does not work. But after your message I set up 15.10 in Virtualbox and there lifeograph runs for me, too. So something has to be mashed up in my system. I'll have to dig deeper. Thank you for your support.

Martin, can you try building Lifeograph from source yourself and see if anything changes. This way you can also configure it as a Debug build in cmake and hopefully obtain more information.

Hi Ahmet, now it works! As you suggested I built Lifeograph from source and this was enough to bring it back to work. Thanks again!

On the way there was just a little problem with cmake: The version included in 15.10 said that cmake -i is no longer supported. I then started cmake-gui and only got it to work somehow by arbitrarily clicking buttons. Therefore, I would very much appreciate if you could update the Readme-File for people like me on how to proper use cmake now.

Best regards, Martin

Closing, this bug as invalid as it does not seem to be a bug in Lifeograph code per se. Please let us now if the issue recurs in the future.

P.S: Readme file is updated now.

Changed in lifeograph:
