Bug Description

Need a update/patch for hp webcams.
in #ubuntu channel no one can seem to answer how to get webcams to work. My webcam worked in 8.10 and 9.04 in both skype and cheese. but in 9.10 it is refuseing to be consistant in cheese, and refuseing to work at all in skype. I then went to #ubuntu-devel where i asked for them to write me an update/patch for hp webcams (laptops*dont know if it makes a difference) and ScottK suggested : "ScottK: PRIDE: Filing a bug on Launchpad is the best way to approach that."

This isn't realy a bug, but I would love a fix for my webcam.

I think we're going to need a bit more information to troubleshoot the issue - what type of device is it, etc. (paste the output of `lspci` here).

I'm going to go ahead and move this to affect 'ubuntu', and not 'Ubuntu IRC bots'.
