Bug Description

Remove your Ubuntu One token. Launch Rbox and the music store. Click on an item and add it to your basket.

1. Click checkout
2. Land at "Connecting..." page
3. Web browser open to Ubuntu SSO sign-up/up
4. Sign-in/up and completely the add a computer process
5. Music store hangs at the connecting page. User must close Rhythmbox, open the music store again, and re-add items to the basket.

The "Connecting..." page should say something about the music store not detecting that Ubuntu One has been setup on your computer (not required to browse but required to purchase from the store) and that the store will launch a web browser so you can login/signup, add your computer, and complete your purchase.

The "Connecting..." page should proceed to the checkout path (credit card entry) after the Ubuntu One token has been set.

In your browser, is it trying to connect to localhost after adding the new computer? Does it say anything on the status bar or does it time out?

The web browser process worked fine. Adding my computer worked and I was redirected to the /files page... so the token should have been added correctly.

The music store just didn't do anything else. I didn't have anything to click to attempt a refresh, go back to my basket or proceed to the credit card entry page.

I had this problem just as described but also afterwards, at the second checkout. That is, after closing rythmbox and logout I manage to have the first checkout. A couple of hours later, still logged in, I went for a second checkout and the store hanged at the connection screen. After log out of the dashbord, restart rythmbox, checkout works again. Oh, by the way, I think the basket should not become empty after a failed connection at checkout.

FMartins: Your second checkout attempt sounds like it might be caused by bug #574569. Since the session times out, your basket becomes empty... hence the failure. If we solve the session timeout problem, baskets will not empty :)
