Bug Description
Today in the middle of a major server outage due to an -apparently- massive migration of whattapp users in Brazil, telegram servers were quite irresponsive from everywhere (webogram, android, and ubuntu too).
While I was trying to see what happened, I opened the app, and it showed "No chats" for a while, and eventually the today scope was shown.
Logs included.

Also happens for captive portals.

After logging in in the browser, the app worked. It should not crash like that.
