Bug Description

Hello!

Today Thunderbird 3.1 Lanikai beta 1 was released and Mozilla Notification Extension is not compatible with it.
Please provide support for this release.

It seems that starting with 3.1 beta 2 libnotify support will be build in to Thunderbird, so this extension may no longer be needed (though I'm not sure about libindicate support):

Yes, so it seems. So I'll wait for some more tidings before expanding the extension.

Could you please retest this with the version from trunk?
Thanks in advance!

Changed in libnotify-mozilla:
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Fix Released
status: Fix Released → Fix Committed

Hi Ruben,

indicator message work fine with Lanikai 3.1b1 and libnotify-mozilla from revision 30. Thanks!

Is Thunderbird supposed to show up in the indicator-messages menu? Because I cannot see it there. The showIndicator preference is set to true. Do I need some additional dependencies for this?

Greetings, Philipp

Regarding comment #1, the internal libnotify code has been pulled for the time being due to a blocking bug by the looks of it. It sounds like it might not make 3.1 now and instead be put back to 3.2: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=478463 and https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=555536

Cheers and thanks for this.
