Bug Description
As the greatest contributor to the Dutch translation of ubuntu-docs, I think it strange that my name is not mentioned at the bottom of the LP-pages (Contributors to this translation:) or in message #2, "translator-credits", which cannot be edited. My name does appear under the individual messages, e.g. Translated and reviewed by Hannie Dumoleyn on 2011-09-01. I do not have this problem in the Precise version of ubuntu-docs.

This seems to be an issue about how Launchpad generates translator-credits, reassigning bug accordingly.

affects: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) → launchpad

This might be a duplicate of bug #484981. Also consider that this might be bug #255830 where users with unaccepted suggestions are being listed.

It looks like this may well be bug 484981. Hannie has done both translation and review on this POFile, but the credits count only the translations. The template was created in October 17 (presumably by copying the Oneiric template and sharing its translations), but from a quick glance I get the impression that Hannie's translations for this file predate that — not to be confused with reviews, which did continue.

So yes, I think that's what happened: the code that copies a template into a new Ubuntu release doesn't copy the POFileTranslator records on which these credits are based. We really ought to re-do the whole credits system, but there simply isn't time.

I'll mark the bug a duplicate of 484981.

No, no, no, wait — is more recent than the POTemplate. That means there's a problem with the updating of POFileTranslator. :(

To give you some more information: it is also incorrect that people who have never done a translation are mentioned as translation contributors. This goes for Matthew East and Jeremy Bincha. They are members of the Documentation Team, but they do not understand one word of Dutch.
