Bug Description
Other project hosting sites (e.g. BitBucket, GitHub) seem to have a feature to use a file within a VCS branch to display as the main page (Overview in Launchpad's case). I feel this would be a useful feature, for those who want to version the main page of their project. Support for the Markdown syntax would be an added bonus, but plaintext would be better than nothing.

I think doing just this would be a useful incremental step towards
"wikis" but we can leave it duped for now.
