2011-10-27 19:20:13 Morten Kjeldgaard description When LP sends email with embedded links, they should be embedded in angle <....> tags. Please see the attached screen shot from Apple Mail. For example, you can see that the link given after the text: "For more details, see:" is only partly underlined, and of course clicking that link will not lead you to the right web page. Likewise, at the end, the links given for the mailing list, and to unsubscribe also do not work. The solution is to put links within sharp angle brackets. Thus, Mailing list: <https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-packaging-guide-team> will create the correct link in Apple Mail, and also all other standards conforming mail clients, even if the URL spans several lines. Angle brackets have been widely used to surround URLs and are recognized for this purpose by the Internet Engineering Task Force, a standards body for the Web.
