Bug Description

Some upstream translators asked to add a note in Rosetta so new translators will be aware of the GNOME/KDE/GNU Translation Project so they coordinate with them instead of duplicate efforts.

What sort of note? Isn't this similar to bug #3?

That would be a step forward towards cooperation between Ubuntu and upstream, and help to diminish the current tentions among the upstream translation projects and Ubuntu.

Carlos, how does this differ from bug 3?

My idea for bug #3 revolved around giving links to aid with the translations in terms of glossaries, style guides and so on. Providing links to the "master" translation projects is also good, but not what I had thought for #3. A link to the GTP will probably not help many to find out if they should be coordinating with anyone, if they are not too informed of how your average translation team works.

An example for link in #3 for Catalan would be: http://www.softcatala.org/projectes/eines/guiaestil/guiaestil.htm which isn't GNOME, KDE or GNU specific at all.

We plan to provide better links between Ubuntu packages and upstream projects (mirrored in Launchpad), and those upstream projects should have appropriate links.
