Bug Description

To reproduce:

  1. Try to access https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libx11/+bug/507062

What happens:

  2. Timeout error
Sorry, something just went wrong in Launchpad.
We’ve recorded what happened, and we’ll fix it as soon as possible. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Trying again in a couple of minutes might work.
     (Error ID: OOPS-2064DR16)

What should happen:

  2. The page should load

My issue is that this bug has lots of dups or subscribers, but I can't actually tell. If it is, it may be related to the other class of "trying to query too many email addresses" problems that were being looked at; although in this case the page isn't loading at all, even after repeated reloads.

The page didn't time out for me (thanks to a warm cache, possibly) but I can see what Paul's getting at. Marking as Critical per our OOPS policy.

A bit more looking makes me think that whilst this is superficially different, it's actually the same as bug 811447, so I'm duping this against that.

To confirm, if I'm logged *out* of Launchpad, the page loads instantly.

If I'm logged *in*to Launchpad, the page never loads … so I concur that it's likely the difference in codepaths (probably) relating to subscriptions or other activities which a logged-in user can undertake, but a passive viewer can't.
