Bug Description
Despite having used Launchpad since 2005, and the current bug-reporting page since it appeared in 2007 or so, again and again I make the same mistake while using it:
While writing up a bug description, I think of an improvement I could make to the summary, so I edit the "Summary:" field ... the wrong one. The one that's used only for searching, not the one that ends up in the actual bug report. Then I realize my mistake, and grate my teeth, and copy and paste from one to the other.
One way of solving this problem would be this:
* Clicking "No, I need to report a new bug" would hide the search results (or the "No similar bug reports were found" text) at the same time as it expanded the rest of the form.
* The rest of the form would not contain an extra "Summary:" field.
* Clicking "Check Again" would also submit any partial description you had entered, revealing it again if you clicked "No, I need to report a new bug" subsequently.
As a bonus, this would make the page shorter and simpler.
