Link a related branch with full URL

Bug Description

For example, on bug 813798 I clicked 'Link a related branch', then pasted the URL of my freshly uploaded branch, https://code.launchpad.net/~bryce/apport/omit_empty and clicked the magnifying glass icon.

I got an error message, No items matched "https://code.launchpad.net/~bryce/apport/omit_empty". Of course, you have to replace "https://code.launchpad.net/" with "lp:". Couldn't launchpad easily do this?

When you link a related bug report (e.g. from bugzilla) you paste a full URL, so it seems like it would be more consistent (and perhaps more intuitive for newbs) if it also accepted full URLs.

Great idea. We should definitely do this. Only setting low as a matter of importance in relationship to all the other things we could be working on. I suspect this is an easy fix, too.
