Bug Description
You can't use the same mailing list for two teams in Launchpad. It gives you the error:
"<email address hidden> is already registered in Launchpad and is associated with Ubuntu Desktop.
If you set up a mailing list for this team, you can use the mailing list as the team contact address."
We wanted to set the GNOME 3 team to use the Ubuntu Desktop mailing list (mostly because the LP list can't be subscribed to by non team members, and can't be set to be unmoderated).

While we could in principle support this, it has a high risk of causing a great deal of confusion: messages sent to teams, subscriptions etc - all these would become really hard to track back. (Think about when someone assigns a bug to a team).
