Not all translation files are imported from bazaar branch

Translations for project "zim" are imported from the main bazaar branch. Import for updates to "zim.pot" works fine, but every time a ".po" is modified or added outside of launchpad and committed to the branch it looks like launchpad fails to pick it up.

For example launchpad translations show almost no translations for Danish (see https://translations.launchpad.net/zim) however the bazaar branch shows in fact "da.po" contains much more translated messages (see http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~jaap.karssenberg/zim/pyzim/view/head:/translations/da.po).

So looks like launchpad fails to detect updates to .po files in the branch.

Any chance this might be related (or a duplicate) of bug 751187?

Not sure if it is the same as bug #751187 but might well be related. Main difference I see is that in that bug upload is done with a tar ball whereas in this bug I import from a bazaar branch. I'm not familiar with the import code, but I can imagine there is a common component causing both issues.

I'm a bit surprised this is not already supported.

The help page (https://help.launchpad.net/Translations/YourProject/ImportingTranslations)
reads:

Continuous: on your project's translations settings page choose Import
template and translation files to automatically import any .po that
are in the branch, whenever Launchpad imports .pot files from the
branch.
"""

So my expectation is that every time I update the .pot file in my
brach, it will also pick up any new .po files. But this apparently is
not the case ? If so, I think the help needs clarification to reflect
this.

Afraid I lack the time at this moment to dive in myself (too many high
prio bugs in my own project list :S ), but willing to set a bounty on
it if there is a mechanism for that.
