can't open merge diff in new window

1. Go to eg https://bugs.launchpad.net/launchpad/+bug/739772
2. Right-click on "diff 265 lines ..."
3. Choose "open in new window"

What happens: you get a diff download file
What should happen: you get a new browser window showing the highlighted diff just as it would appear in the javascript popup

This would be useful because then you can more easily scroll it; share the URL; and still access the bug.

If people want to download it there is already a link for that.

If you click on the status e.g. 'approved' it will take you to the
merge proposal, which is the url one would share.
