Translations import karma needs a review

This has been addressed years ago in bug 35631. The recent work on the import queue have removed all karma assignment from it, because it was being assigned in the same way as the web ui karma. With the new upstream-translation-sharing paradigma, things have probably changed and this whole story needs to be revisited.

I'm very sorry because it seems that the described behaviour on both bugs hasn't changed over these years.

The functionality of translating offline and import the result later on is very useful.
The truth is that the translation applications provide an easier to use and more pleasant environment.

Last but not least, it's not fair for people working offline not being assigned with the karma they deserve!
Some of them use to translate whole applications following the described procedure!

I would like to add up that the user that uploads a .po file that finally got imported successfully,
is neither listed in the contributors of the translation in a specific language.

Using offline .po editors in much better than Launchpad. Why?

1) Launchpad is sometimes slow/loads with an error
2) Editors can use Translation memory
3) Editors can use Sync from other sources
4) You can test the translation directly without having to wait for the download to be ready
etc.

Please fix this.

who cares about karma? there is no difference how much you have of it... my name is in application translators credits, i'm translator of project it's enough.
