Bug Description

Visiting a distro source package's main bugs page shows a list of canned searches ('New bugs', 'Bugs assigned to me', et al.)

These should include a hotlink to 'bugs I reported', which shows 'recently closed bugs' so I can see the progress that has been made on issues I care about, and so I can easily follow up on bugs that got closed as invalid for some reason.

These should include a hotlink to 'bugs I reported', since obviously I care a lot about those.

There is such a canned search on your bugs.l.n/~bryce page. Showing closed bugs by default is a poor idea since most will be validly closed. Also the canned searches show bugs in that status which is expensive to calculate. I'm going to focus this bug down on the 'reported in this context' angle. Theres a separate bug open already about 'bugs I am subscribed to'. Please file new bugs if you want the other bits thought about further.

@Bryce see bug 5977 and bug 1837 and bug 90738 for the other aspects of finding closed bugs.

No, that shows for *all* packages. For me, I report bugs against a number of projects and have over a hundred still-open bugs against various projects, so it is hard to locate the particular bug I care about for a given package.

"Showing closed bugs by default is a poor idea since most will be validly closed."

I disagree. If I reported a bug, and it is closed for a valid reason, that's great - I want to know about it, and want Launchpad to show me. Either my report has paid off and there is a fix I can now use, or there was something wrong with my report and I should follow up. Currently, if my report is closed, it takes a lot of work to find it again.

"I'm going to focus this bug down on the 'reported in this context' angle."

You focused it down to an angle that appears to have already been reported (#121646). I'm reopening and targeting to a different angle (visibility into my reported, now-closed bugs).
