Bug Description

If I report a bug, like I'm doing right now, it is done in some sans-serif not-fixed-width (is the term for that proportional?) font. After I click the submit bug report button, I will be transported to the page for the new bug, where the font used will be a fixed-width font. This is not good because the amount of text I, at least, can understand in a proportional font is a /lot/ less than what I can understand in a fixed-width font. For example, https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/713356 was looking really good in the proportional font, but it is almost impossible for me to read in the fixed-width one.

This relates to bug 262718. The comments should be in monospace and the web should present them as monospace as you write them.

Is this a duplicate, then, or a separate bug?

It could be a duplicate if the other bug documented a requirement to fix the textarea font. I think it is much easier to fix the text area font than to reconcile the different comments systems so I favour keeping this bug separate.
