launchpad fails to import ssh keys without a comment

when adding a new ssh key through the web interface (https://launchpad.net/~vagrantc/+editsshkeys), it fails with an error message "Invalid public key" if the public key doesn't include a comment.

this fails to import:

  ssh-rsa AAAAB3....2oD0yYqFZbuCf

while this works:

  ssh-rsa AAAAB3....2oD0yYqFZbuCf some comment text

if could import a key without a comment, or at the very least produce a useful error message, that would be nice.
