Bug Description

Currently a user needs to:

  1. Click https://launchpad.net/people/+me/+archivesubscriptions
  2. Click "View"
  3. Click "Choose your Ubuntu version", select eg. "Maverick 10.10"

it turns out that frequently people do not use (because they do not notice) the dropbox and end up replacing the YOUR_UBUNTU_VERSION_HERE text manually, taking time and leading to transcription errors (which in turn leads to support feedback to the PPA operator and further confusion).

Ideally the setting of "Choose your Ubuntu version" could be populated and pre-selected based on the user-agent. For Firefox at least, this is already configured in the browser as the 'general.useragent.vendorComment=natty' setting (see about:config/Ubufox) and should be available in some form from most browsers (and at least those shipped by default in Ubuntu/Kubuntu). This would not solve every use case, but likely solve the common-case.

This is already done on the main PPA page so should be easy enough here.

I don't believe we expose Ubuntu version information anymore, so any code to that affect likely can be dropped.
