Bug Description
The downloads portlet shows the latest release by date, but that release is not necessarily the latest version. While +downloads favours the focus of development series, some projects choose to separate development series from release series. Allowing project to choose the series that latest releases are made from guarantees that the projects +index and +download pages know exactly what series to look for releases from for packagers (not developers). The default series can be trunk. This will resolve a lot of confusion about what is shown.
