When filing a bug, clicking the Find link beside Assign to field loses all changes

Bug Description
I just came to file a bug, entered Summary and Further Information, then came to assign the bug to someone on my team. I expanded Extra options and beside Assign to clicked the Find link. Sure enough this allowed me to find the user I was looking for, but also lost all the details I had entered in the bug form.

The (Find...) link should be set-up by some javascript in the page, and this doesn't seem to be happening. My feeling is that, for the reason reported in this bug, the (Find...) link should not even appear unless it's created by javascript.
