Bug Description
At the moment, when I want to abdicate ownership of a project, I go to:
https:/
And then I select the "I do not want to maintain this project" checkbox. Then I have to delete my user name from the maintainer field before I am able to submit the form.
It would be nice if I didn't have to both edit the maintainer field *and* check the check box in order to abdicate ownership. One should be sufficient.

Brad and I discussed this issue in the original review. We could update the view to ignore the field since we know the value is not needed, but I think the form is confusing though. Updating the UI to deactivate the field would be best--the user can see the old value and know it is not being used, but knows he can change his mind.
