Bug Description
The Launchpad PPA Search is a fantastic facility for finding software that is newer than in the repos, or that has not yet been packaged by anyone.

However, I feel there are improvements to make it mor usable and friendly to non-experienced users. Now that Software Center can accept PPA's these improvements are even more important.
From the search results you should see:
*Last modified date
*Release filter
*PPA Heat
*Concept of "Trustworthy" PPA (restrictive to devs who can upload to these PPAs)
*Upstream PPA (edge and stable version of upstream software, automatically complied)
I don't expect all of these to be implemented, but I think they are great suggestions to help a user find the software they need with a certain level of comfort.
