Bug Description

The stylesheet used on Launchpad at:

  http://launchpad.net/+icing/rev9521/combo.css

contains an explicit font list:

  body{font-family:"dejavu sans","bitstream vera sans",verdana,sans-serif;font-size:93%}

making it hard to test the Ubuntu Sans Beta font on Launchpad pages.

Canonical's UX team that is beta testng the font dictates the fonts used on this site.

Anyone who wants to test can do so by configuring their browser to force the font. I have.

As mentioned in comment #1 , if we want to test it we can change the style sheet. However if it was not forced it would have been better to test.

Not a bug in the fonts.

I spoke to Ivanka when she invited canonical staff to join the private beta. Her assurance was that we did not need to update the sites to use the font. I was leary so I forced my browser to use ubuntubeta. There is an open bug (bug 435356) that sill shortly become invalid. I expect the UX team to report a new bug specifying the fonts used by canonical owned sites.
