Bug Description
Aaron had a nice idea for reducing latency on web ui client calls that currently do the following:
web page:'
api call
calculate portlet url and request it
to instead do:
web page:
api call with 'please give me view Y' -> gets back the portlet.
This sounds nice and someone should bug me or aaron to describe it in more detail.

I *think* you mean inline calls to a portlet while the page is rendering on the server, but I'll need confirmation or some more details, as you suggest.
