After reporting a bug, and knowing the problem was upstream, I clicked on "Request fix upstream", which led me to a page asking me to select the package (which is already abnormal, because it should know the bug I was talking about just before).
After typing in the package (totem), it led me to the Oops page, kindly asking me to report it as a bug. Et voila. Done. |
Nicolas reported bug 5756 about Totem, and then understandably mistook the "Request fix: upstream" link as something that would report the bug in an upstream bug tracker. (This is covered partly by bug 1334.) Entering "totem" in the "Product" field caused an error, because the bug already had a fix request for that product.

This is the product equivalent of bug 4845.

If you click "Request fix..." on a bug page and type in the name of a product that already has a task for that bug, you get an OOPS. Example: OOPS-53A549. This is the product equivalent of bug 4845.
Fixing this is a matter of adding input validation. |
