Crash when using "Also affects project"

On https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxpanel/+bug/566056 , I try to report it upstream by using "Also affects project". I registered the project LXPanel, set the link between the Ubuntu package and the upstream project, but when I try to forward it using "Also affects project", I have an Error ID: OOPS-1571EC6588

Did I miss something when I register the project ? If so, it will be nice to have a more verbose message for the error :)

Just go to https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxpanel/+bug/566056 and click on "Also affects project", the "Oops" page appear with Error ID: OOPS-1578EC2090. I can't do anything after, only go back to the bug report.

I think this is related to recent work from the Launchpad Registry team. Curtis, et al, if I'm wrong, feel free to kick back to the bugs team.

The registry has not changed any bug code yet.

I think the issue here is that remote_product is a required field for many (maybe all) bug trackers, but it is not clear that that field is required. It is very easy to not provide the information. I think that is the case here. Adding the correct data to the project's remote_product may fix this instance.

I suspect the field requres a validators after seeing this error. I do not know the rules of bug trackers to know if a different validator is needed for each bug tracker type. Create validators an making the field required is in scope for the next registry feature: https://dev.launchpad.net/Registry/BugConfiguration

Since the data can be fixed up to make this not OOPS, I'm marking this low priority until it becomes part of registry or malone team's current work.

I tried to specify a Remote project (https://edge.launchpad.net/lxpanel/+configure-bugtracker), but it doesn't help, it's still OOPS. Or maybe did I configure the wrong parameter ?
