Can't search for phrases in bug reports

I have been trying to search launchpad in various ways--most recently for bug reports--and have found that the inability to search for phrases or to AND search words makes the task almost impossible.

For instance a search on "IN from bad port 64" (in quotes) ought to tell me right away whether a particular ppc kernel bug has been reported. Mercifully, in this case, it only gives a couple of dozen results, but if you try to search on anything with, say, the word "disk" in it, you might as well give up.

As a workaround you can now use the top-left fulltext search box, which will match phrases. However, you can't use that with "structural" queries like checking on bug state or particular products/packages. It is good enough to find duplicates of an error message though.
