Bug Description

Trying to unsubscribe from a bug report (specifically, Bug #178038), I get the following error:

The following errors were encountered:
    * Server error, please contact an administrator. OOPS ID:OOPS-1546M556

Tried unsubscribing by pressing the "unsubscribe" button both under firefox 3.5.8 and opera 10.10, both running under fully updated (as of today, of course) Ubuntu 9.10 64bit.

I am shocked: just to be extra scrupulous, I tried doing the same thing in internet explorer under a win xp virtual machine running under virtualbox, and it worked! I have unsubscribed from the bug report. The page itself is poorly visualized under IE: the right column is all compressed at the bottom, and the list of subscribed people is missing, but the "unsubscribe" button at least works.

Testing as I write: subscribed again using IE, I subsequently tried unsubscribing with firefox, and it worked. Then, trying to subscribe again with opera or firefox gives similar errors (OOPS ID: OOPS-1546H565 and OOPS-1546A540, respectively). Not sure what the pattern is at this point.

Odd. I thought we CP'ed these fixes. These OOPS are ShortListTooBigErrors which should have been fixed with Abel's liberally applying doNotSnapshot branches.

Abel, can you take a look at these OOPS and see what's up?

no, we did not CP it...

sim909, we already have a fix but it is currently available only via https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nspluginwrapper/+bug/178038/

If you visit that page, [un]subscribing should work. But this fix will be available next week in the rgular site too.
