Can't search bugs in multiple projects

Bug Description

It's possible to do a bug search across all projects, or across bugs in one single project, but it's not possible to display matching bugs in, say, two projects in one search. This is useful where you have separate-but-related projects which are part of a larger product. (My example is libubuntuone and rhythmbox-ubuntuone-music-store, which are part of ubuntuone. I'd like to show bugs in either of those two projects, but not show bugs in the wider ubuntuone project.)

jml and I have been talking about this exact thing recently. I wish we could make it higher priority, but other stories under development currently are higher issues for us.

It would be nice to find time to work it in sooner rather than later. Although to be fair, the advance search page UI is being stretched thin as it is, so another option and that form needs some love, too.

Changed in malone:
status: New → Triaged
importance: Undecided → Low
tags: added: search

I agree w/ Deryck's triaging given current work & current business needs.

However, I'm going to actively campaign to get this bug fixed as long
as I'm in this position. To me it's an essential missing piece
required to make Launchpad actually be the thing that it's designed to
be.
