Bug Description

Malone should show attachments, patches and bug watches of the duplicates of the currently viewed bug, just like it is showing the subscribers from duplicates now.
This would make it easier for bug triagers to quickly look at the logs attached to all the duplicates.
Currently every bug triager has to review every duplicate by hand if he wants to check what attachments are included in them.

I think this makes sense, but I would love a bit of discussion here about how others feel on this before agreeing that we should do this for sure.

It's a good idea. Here are some things to consider:
  - what will happen when the bug is deduped?
    - will people "lose" the patches etc?
  - is there a danger of having a huge number of attachments (e.g w/
apport bugs)?
  - is there a potential performance issue

My concerns echo jml's. I worry that the many attachments become confusing in the UI and that we end up with a performance problem, too, with very little gained. But I am sympathetic to why this would be useful.

I'll keep the bug open for discussion, but we're not likely to take on this work anytime soon.

In the absence of comment hiding (bug 1734), one subtle effect of marking a duplicate is that it cleans up the discussion. Sometimes this is even a factor in deciding which direction to mark the duplicate.

It would be nifty to have controls for moving attachments from one bug report to another. Duplicates would be one use for this, but not the only use.
