Bug Description

The 3.0 UI seems to have lost the link to a bug's /+activity subpage. Manually hacking the URL still works.

This is intentional. The goal is to have all the missing bits of the activity log added inline among comments. So if there are things we aren't showing that you have to click through to see, it would be good to open bugs about those missing pieces of activity log, if there aren't bugs already open for those bits.

Is it really very nice to hide the information for 6 weeks (until the next release)?

I think it depends on what information is hiding? What can you find in the activity log that you can't find in the inter-leaved activity in the comments section? When talking to others about this when the link was removed it didn't seem there were big pieces of info you had to click through to find anymore.

I believe the only changes shown inline are summary, description, assignee, status, importance, privacy, security vulnerabilityness, tags, milestone.

That leaves, from a quick hunt: target changes, task additions, subscriptions, bug watches, branch links, CVE links, attachment removals (and additions of removed attachments), series nominations, duplication and question conversion.

Please bring the link back.

I'm reopening this bug for multiple reasons:

Firstly, it's unequivocally a regression. You can have plans to expose information in other ways, but until they are live, I don't think there's reasonable justification for intentionally removing functionality. (On edge, maybe, on lpnet, definitely not.)

Secondly, even if you do reveal ALL the information formerly available in the activity log, *including* links to removed attachments in the librarian (if you omit those, you'll need to think how people recall attachments should they be removed by bug vandals), I feel there is still a valid use case for wanting to read the metadata activity of a bug undistracted by comments (particularly if a bug grows to have a huge number of comments).

We probably won't fix the larger problem soon, so lets bring the link back.
I'd suggest showing the link at the bottom-right of the last comment/activity, with the text "See full activity log". When we have ajax, we can do nicer things with that.

Agreed; I had hoped we would have time this cycle to finish the activity log work, but I think that's unlikely the way the cycle has grown so far.
