It does if there are more branches than can be shown. We show at most 5
branches for any distroseries.

Why should it take you to a listing that shows less?

As someone exploring Launchpad is it interesting to you? It adds no extra
information that you'd care about.

Why tell the casual explorer "oh, look, we can show you even more detail you
don't care about over here..."

It tells me that the feature "Source package branch listings" exists
at all. Maybe it doesn't matter until I have a package with a lot of
branches, but it seems a bit sub-optimal.

I'm not 100% convinced about this. Certainly, knowing that a listing
exists is less important than knowing that I can propose branches for
review, say.
