Launchpad does not honour Ubuntu original-maintainer policy - claims debian maintainer is maintainer of unchanged-in-ubuntu packages

The page of the Tor package [0] shows Mr. Peter Palfrader [1] as Tor's package maintainer. I've contacted him personally thru IRC and he said me that he is not the package maintainer, that he is not involved with Ubuntu and he has not a account in Launcpad.

He asked me to contact LP team to inform the existance of this 'fake' information and he asks to have his name dropped from the LP since he is not involved at all.

Please, check out this issue and let another MOTU taking care of these package. THere is another stable version released and Dapper still have the older version, so there is work to be made.

About the involvement of Mr Peter, the portlet is quite clear IMO:

The source was synced from Debian.

On the other hand, Colin's suggestion could be implemented in our current `sync-source` script, but it needs further discussion.
