Not allowed to view the duplicate of my own bug.

I reported bug Bug #40436, which was then marked as a duplicate of the later bug, bug #403880. When I attempt to view this duplicate, I am told:
Not allowed here

Sorry, you don't have permission to access this page.

You are logged in as Michael Jones.

I believe that there shouldn't ever be a situation where I am not allowed to view a duplicate of my own bug. My assumption, if I can't see the bug mine is marked as a duplicate as, to verify that that is correct, is that my bug is not a duplicate.
