Bug Description

(From bug 391820):

It would also interesting to use pkgmaintainermangler to modify the maintainer of each package in a PPA to be the person/team who owns the PPA or the person who uploaded the package.

affects: soyuz → launchpad-buildd

This will need server-side support from the buildd-manager side too, but I'm all for the concept. The mangling should be to the "archive owner" (so, PPA owner for a user PPA, team contact for a team PPA, I guess), not the individual uploader, IMO.

(server-side, the easiest way to do this is, once we've figured out what needs to be in that field, I need an rfc822 style full email passed in extra_args, and I can then deal with it on my side in sbuild, which the mangler can then pick up)

We probably want to mangle some PPAs like we mangle Ubuntu, for -security things that get unembargoed in one step

summary: - PPA: Mangle package maintainer
+ package maintainers in PPA uploads are what ever was uploaded, results
+ in Debian developers receiving spam

This also affects Ubuntu devs who have their PPA's forked, incidentally. And, perhaps more relevantly, the person actually uploading the fork never receives build failure mails.
