Changing bug status in Ajax doesn't change it elsewhere on the same page

Bug Description
I clicked on the 'edit' icon and used the Ajax edit form to change a bug's status from "Triaged" to "Fix Committed". Then I clicked on the "Assign to" drop-down to change the assignee. In the drop-down, the status of the bug was still given as "Triaged".
The "Importance" edit form probably has the same problem.
