Currently it is possible for a project timelord to mark a public bug as a duplicate of a hidden private bug. For example:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-client/+bug/394295
which was marked as a duplicate of:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/354502
meaning that the original helpless reporter can end up seeing:
**Not allowed here***
Sorry, you don't have permission to access this page.
(until I unduped it to switch the affected projects around and now can't de-dup it---separate issue).
This bug can probably be generalised that two bug reports should have the same privacy status to be allowed as duplicates. |
