Changed-by data for bug metadata (e.g. status) is hard to access

Something I find myself doing in the course of bug triage is that when I notice a questionable value for a field like severity or milestone, I check the activity log to see who set it, so that I can decide (based on whether I know/trust that person) whether to accept the value or sanitize it.

This is slow and a faster route would be very useful.

Matt, do you mean displayed in the bug page itself? If so, showing the last changer of each datum would get quite crowded. Would a tooltip work?

I'm moved this back to triaged and removed the easy tag. This is not an easy task as it needs a database patch and re design of the BugActivity table to make it easier to retrieve without causing performance problems. See more details in the merge proposal.

tooltips are not a viable solution since they suppose a indirect-input like a mouse.

The original bug report didn't request tooltips - it simply stated the problem and asked for it to be available. I agree that tooltips would be a problem, but not doing tooltips doesn't imply not fixing. (Other options are expanders, (i) things that can be clicked on etc.
