PPA reports file size in KiB, MiB, GiB instead of SI units

Would it be possible to change the reported file sizes for launchpad to SI units like KB, MB and GB?

I'm not sure that most people are comfortable with using power-of-2-numbers, when most of their lives is determined by metric numbers (sorry, US). Especially for new users/developers, this would make it easier to deal with all the sizes in launchpad.

I for myself find it nearly impossible to determine how many KiB are, e.g., in 1.44 MiB (1474.56 KiB).
