Bug Description

I got an http 500 error when trying to click on

https://edge.launchpad.net/token/9bZJgvCPTN9j2C7R0rF1/+validateemail

I would see the page but when I clicked on "confirm" it would spew a 500. Notably I was NOT logged in at the time. When I logged in, the "confirm" worked as designed.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Logged in, open https://staging.launchpad.net/people/+me/+editemails
2. Add a new email address (e.g. <email address hidden>)
3. Ask someone to retrieve the validation email from the staging inbox
4. Log out from staging
5. Open the link sent in the email (e.g. https://staging.launchpad.net/token/fdl2FpTSh2PG7hnv4Tdh)
6. Click Continue

What happens: You get a mostly blank page with the following text: "Application error. Unauthenticated user POSTing to page that requires authentication". If you check the headers you'll see it's a 500 HTTP error.

Soory you are at the wrong email and person Idon't why I'm not a
professionnel in fixing and reapirind Bugs in Ubuntu I wish you find a
solution good luck.

This is very weird. Is there any chance it happened during the
scheduled outage to upgrade the librarian?

Indeed very weird. The Librarian was up. I had Herb test it and he
tested ok yet I was unable to until I logged in. Herb was most likely
logged in though.
