Bug Description

After exporting from rosetta the order of strings in the po file is differing than the order of strings on rosetta page.

Let me explain:

Please download my attachment and open https://translations.launchpad.net/ddtp-ubuntu/ubuntu/+pots/ddtp-ubuntu-main/hu/+translate in web browser.

See the string no. 9: This package contains an in-line grammar checking system for AbiWord documents. Located in Package: abiword-plugin-grammar

But in the po file no. 9 is: equation editor plugin for AbiWord. Located in Package: abiword-plugin-mathview

And so and so.

I count the link number of strings from the po file, but in this case this doesn't work. Please fix it. Thank you!

Indeed, I can confirm this. Data in the database is correct, and we export other PO files in the right order (eg. I tried with Serbian), but not the Hungarian one.

Changed in rosetta:
importance: Undecided → Medium
status: New → Triaged
tags: added: message-sharing

I'm randomly clicking in the package lists of http://potter.iit.uni-miskolc.hu/~sianis/nightmonkey-test/ - this is the beta version and lists every package. One interesting thing I noticed is, that languages that made no translation in LP, like sr, hr, ms or th, are in the correct order, while those where some activity happened, are the ones with incorrect links.

Gabor, that's useful input, thanks.

Btw, just a hint: if you are depending on the ordering for your scripts, you can probably "fix" the file with "msgcat -F". Let me know if that helps.

It doesn't help. The result is something random order, because there is no file location for entries.

Changed in rosetta:
importance: Medium → High

I had it fixed in another bug :-)
Do you still have the code for direct linking ?
