2009-03-29 16:25:06 Tiefflieger summary Structuring wser hints on series without branch Structuring user hints on series without branch
2009-03-29 16:30:36 Tiefflieger description I marked a series ( https://edge.launchpad.net/cassiopeia/test ) as obsolete and removed the assigned branch for it. I have some improvement suggestions for the user hints you can see on that page above, see attachment. I think the nested "if..else...or...if..." is quite confusing, a simple indention and some bullets could certainly clear up things. As you can see in the attachment, I suggested to delete a very misunderstandable sentence: "You can push a branch to Launchpad for this project with the name trunk using a command line like: bzr push lp:~tiefflieger/cassiopeia/trunk" 1. The name of the project is "cassiopeia", not "trunk" ( "[...] for this project with the name trunk [...]") 2. What the suggested command does: It pushes a local branch to a (not existant? or is it automatically mapped to lp:cassiopeia?) "trunk" branch of the project "cassiopeia". That has absolutely no connection to the series or the branch this series has been assigned to. Thanks for Launchpad! Instead I'd like to suggest to give a much shorter, but series-specific user hint, see red text in attachment. Thanks for Launchpad! Tiefflieger
