Triage mode for email

Bug Description

I often do bouts of triage where I change the status and comment on dozens of bugs. The emails that get sent out from this process are a little unhelpful -- there's too little meaningful information in each email.

It'd be great if there were some way to tell Launchpad "I'm doing a bunch of triage now; don't send any email yet, send a digest when I'm done".

I would never use such a feature, because I like having the threads for all bugs in my archives so that I can search them and reply to them. We should check how popular this would be before we consider this.

I experience this too. There is some kind of bug here, but I don't know if a mode is a good solution. (In fact I suspect it is not.)

One thing I have done is to tell my mail agent to mark incoming mail from me as read.

I almost feel like I want an option for "don't send mail when a bug just changes from New to Confirmed". But as Tom says it is useful to have a record.

To be clear, my problem is not that I receive emails about things that I've done -- I don't care about that.

The problem is that sending one email per triaged bug obfuscates the whole process, making it hard for others to analyze what I've done. The main consequence of this is that I'm more hesitant in my triage, because it's unlikely that others will notice my mistakes and correct them.
