Add a filter "Items changed by user"

Bug Description

The translations page should have an additional filter to selected all translations of a specified user.

If you find that a user makes certain errors, then it is very helpful to review only the strings of that particular user and not all strings.

Ideally this should be combinable with selection for "new" (still missing) and "changed".

There is an overview page for a user for every PO file (containing all the translations that person has submitted, including discarded suggestions). To see them, go to the "Overview" tab for a PO file, and then click on "filter" next to the user's name. From there, you can click the number which will take you to the "zoomed in" view for the message you are looking at, and do your changes there.

I know this is not exactly what you are asking for, but should be able to solve the problems you are running into, without adding more clutter to the UI for something that would be rarely used.

If this is not enough, let's discuss the problem and try to find a better solution to it. Is the functionality above suitable?

I know about this and it does not solve the problem. It is very
complicated to filter out useful information from this view and changing
texts is a clicking nightmare.

No. When you have a review team this is probably of less importance, but
for josm and merkaartor until now we decided to use open access. This has
advantages and disadvantages. One of the disadvantages is that you may
need to revert changes by certain users.

Currently this is a pain, especially if you forgot to do so early and the
changes went into upstream. Currently is not only a pain, but a nighmare
to get the old strings back in this case.

If your concern is not to clutter the UI - Well I agree. Probably make
this user choosable. So have a checkbox somewhere which says "From now on
please show me all options until I uncheck this" or something like that.

Also please allow to view more than 10 translations at once.

This is a very specific request, and I am not sure how it would fit into existing framework. If I work under the assumption that there won't be many contributions from a person like this, then what we plan to do on a per-message page is to list all obsolete suggestions as well, so it's easier to reuse them.

However, for everything else, you are always welcome to use more restrictive permissions, or simply ask us to remove all translations from a certain user in a certain translation.
