Get the corresponding web app URL for a web services object

Bug Description

When having an API object, I sometimes want to link to it to the object in the web app, so that the user can look at it using a browser. It would be good to have a convenient way of getting such a link.

I know that I can mangle the URL myself in my app, but that sounds kind of fragile.

I assume that this is from the JS side since canonical_url() would work otherwise?

No, this is not JS, this is when using launchpadlib.
