WikiNames erronously appends a '/' when concatrenating (wikipedia)

Attempting to add a WikiName, at:

  https://launchpad.net/people/sladen/+editwikinames

and using:

  BaseURL = "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:"
  Name = "Sladen"

and submitting the page gets this URL turned into:

  "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:/"

with an externous '/' slash errornously appended onto the end. It it not possible to get rid of this slash and it is repeatedly added on each page submit.

Perhaps the destination page could be tested to check that it exists but adding a '/' is attempted.
